Dolphins +7 over Patriots (loss)
Cam Newton had a really weak arm last year.  Is he fully recovered from his injury?  The Tom Brady era is over.  Last year the Patriots didn’t really light it up in the passing game so I don’t think Newton will be that much of an upgrade.  Sometimes a dynasty ends.  What the Patriots accomplished in the last 20 years will never be seen again.  Miami brings back Ryan Fitzpatrick who is such a likable guy and puts his body on the line every snap.  The Dolphins have the defensive players to keep this game close and certainly will not be as bad as their last season opener against the Ravens.  This is a team that got outscored in the first 4 weeks more than any team ever will in the rest of our lives.  The Dolphins goal this offseason surely was to start fast.  The Patriots always will have a good defense, but without an official defensive coordinator this year should take a step back.  The bottom line is the Patriots don’t deserve to be a favorite of this size to start the year.  Take the Dolphins.

Rotation #459
Raiders -3 over Panthers (win)
Ron Rivera is gone at head coach and the Panthers will start the Matt Rhule era today.  Rhule was a coach at Baylor last year and this is his first NFL game as head coach.  The Panthers will also start Teddy Bridgewater at QB.  Bridgewater will learn a new system with first year OC Joe Brady who is just 30 years old.  This team is going to once again depend on Christian McCaffery at running back and depend on his ability to catch the ball as well.  The Panthers will have new guards on the offensive line as the welcome John Miller for Cincinnati and Dennis Daley is out with an ankle injury.  This offensive line also welcomes Russell Okung from the Chargers.  Simply put I think this offense struggles today.  The Raiders have a new home in the city of Las Vegas, but it’s still the same team with their coaching staff in place from the last few years.  This offense returns their entire offensive line and defensively really have made great improvements.  This is a complete football team and should win on the road today.  Take the Raiders.

Rotation #469
Packers +2.5 over Vikings (win)
Packers/Vikings Over 44.5 (win)
Aaron Rodgers is out to prove he still is an elite QB.  Jordan Love being drafted rubbed his the wrong way and I believe we see a big season out of him.  This team has a lot of weapons at receiver and can run the ball well.  The Vikings have new coordinators and I believe we see this defense take a signifigant step back as they don’t have the defensive line that once dominated.  Rodgers should be able to attack the young cornerbacks today.  Minnesota has a great running game, tons of talent at receiver and Kirk Cousins is back.  This offensive line is pretty good and have all played with each other in the past.  Both teams should put up a good point production, but in the end Aaron Rodgers should get the road win.  Take the Packers and the Over.
