Saints -4 over Falcons (win)
No Drew Brees today for the Saints, but this game will be about the defense or lack thereof by the Falcons.  I am not scared of anyone rushing the quarterback.  I think the Saints will be able to run the ball well with Kamara and the offensive line will protect Taysom Hill.  The Falcons have such a poor defense that it doesn’t matter much who the QB is.  Atlanta can move the ball on offense with Matt Ryan and all of the weapons, but this Saints team is very good against the run on defense and they have the secondary to slow Atlanta down.  This Saints coaching staff has been together for a long time while the Falcons are on their 2nd coach this year.  Take the Saints.

Lions -1.5 over Panthers (loss)
Carolina has a decision to make and for the long term healthy of Teddy Bridgewater you hope they make the right one.  Bridgewater was knocked out of the last game with a sprain to his MCL.  If this was a rookie maybe he could play, but this is a guy who suffered one of the most horrific injuries to his leg just a few years ago.  It’s not worth it with a brand new staff and without Christian McCaffrey and two starting offensive linemen.  Live to see another day.  I have zero faith in any of the backups and I just don’t see Carolina scoring much today.  The Lions have their injuries at receiver and running back, but Matthew Stafford has the experience to find his targets against a very young defense that just doesn’t have much NFL experience.  Take the Lions.

Texans +2 over Patriots (win)
Texans/Patriots Over 48.5 (loss)
The Texans have the worst defense in the NFL.  There is no doubt Bill Belichick will find ways to put points on the board.  This New England team is flawed.  I know the general public thinks they are back after beating Baltimore last Sunday Night, but the conditions in that game were brutal.  This game today is indoors and I believe the Texans Offense is going to have a field day.  New England just doesn’t have a healthy front seven on defense.  The Texans have so many talented skill players that should be able to get open.  New England has a great secondary, but it’s only as good as the protection they get up front.  The entire Patriots defensive line is out or on the injury report today and the linebackers are banged up as well.  Deshaun Watson is going to be a nightmare to slow down today with his duel threat ability.  Take the Texans and the Over.

Steelers -10 over Jaguars (win)
We had the Steelers a few weeks ago against the Cowboys as the double digit favorite and they never showed up to the game.  I will give this team one more shot to do what they should do and that is to steamroll this football team. The Jaguars will start Jake Luton again and this week he is going to see pressure like he has never seen before.  The Steelers are great at getting after the quarterback and they have a great passing defense.  I just don’t see Luton getting out of this game without making a mistake or two.  Luton looked good last week in Green Bay, but everything was slowed down due to the high winds and the Packers Defense is not the Steelers Defense. Jacksonville is brutal of the defensive side of the ball and just will not stop this Steelers Offense.  The only thing we can’t allow is something big in the special team area and we should win this game by at least two touchdowns.  Take the Steelers.

Cowboys +7 over Vikings (win)
Cowboys/Vikings Over 49 (win)
Andy Dalton returns today for the Cowboys.  Dalton will get a chance to prove he still belongs in the NFL against a really inexperienced Vikings Defense.  Minnesota just doesn’t have the big time players up front on the defensive line and their cornerbacks are banged up this year.  Dallas should be able to run the ball which will allow them to pass.  The Vikings will face a Dallas Defense that has not done much this year.  Dalvin Cook should be able to run wild today which will allow Kurt Cousins to pass the ball.  Both offenses should be balanced today.  I think this will be a high scoring game and I like Dallas getting these generous points.  I don’t think the Vikings Defense is good enough to be favored by this much.  Take the Cowboys and the Over.
