Tulane -3.5 over Southern Miss (win)
Both teams had heart breaking losses last week.  Southern Miss lost on the final down on defense and Tulane blew a monster second half lead to Navy.  I think the loss for Southern Miss was worse because this young coaching staff was so close to getting their first win together and now have to go back to the drawing board.  Tulane’s QB Keon Howard is a transfer from Southern Miss so you know he is pumped to stick it to his old team.  Tulane has the players on defense to stop the Golden Eagles.  Southern Miss just doesn’t return a lot of offensive play makers and it’s shown.   Willie Fritz is a good coach that should be able to come up with a game plan to beat the youthful staff on the Southern Miss side.  The Golden Eagles are in a rebuilding year and it has shown.  Take Tulane.

Rotation #416
Oklahoma State -7 over WVU (win)
QB Spencer Sanders is questionable to play in today’s game and yet Oklahoma State still are healthy favorites.  This game is all about the defense.  The Cowboys should be able to slow down this new WVU system.  West Virginia has new coordinators which never helps early in the season on the road.  WVU is thin in the secondary this year and whoever starts at QB should be able to take advantage.  Not having solid tacklers at that third level of defense can be a nightmare if Chubba Hubbard gets loose.  The Cowboys are the better team and should win by double digits.  Take Oklahoma State.

Rotation #405
Tennessee -3.5 over South Carolina (win)
The Vols know the feeling of their season being shot on the first day of the year as last year Georgia State upset them.  This is a team that struggled early on and could have thrown in the towel, but over the 2nd half of the season showed tremendous promise.   The Vols bring back a lot of talent from last year and this coaching staff is another year wiser.  South Carolina brings in a new offensive coordinator and with him a new QB from the Colorado State system.  Collin Hill is not much of a mobile threat so it’s his arm that will have to carry this team that lost a lot of receivers.  This is a rebuilding year for this offense.   Jarrett Guarantano and the Vols are looking to pick up where they left off late last year.   The Vols also return more starting talent on defense.  Take Tennessee.
