Rotation #124
Western Kentucky -15.5 over Liberty (loss)
Western Kentucky couldn’t get going against Louisville, but that was expected as the Cardinals are a step up in competition.  Liberty is a step down.  I give the Flames a lot of credit for playing this year as a few other independent conference teams called it quits.  Hugh Freeze is a great coach, but his team lacks a lot of talent.  This is a team that doesn’t have a lot of depth either and it will be tough for them to get going in their first game of the year.  The Hilltoppers have a game under their belt which helps with basic fundamentals like something as simple as tackling.  This team brings back 4 of their 5 starting offensive linemen from last year, has some good running backs and decent targets to catch the ball.  Tyrell Pigrome is a duel threat QB that should be able to move the chains against Liberty.  The defense returns a lot starters from last year and should make the difference is this game.  This number seems high, but so is the talent gap.  Take Western Kentucky.

Rotation #109/110
UCF/Georgia Tech Under 63.5 (loss)
Georgia Tech played great of defense last week against FSU.  We had the under in that game and it won with ease.  This high 63.5 point line is something we should be seeing mid-season and that’s when GTech had that great triple option attack going.  Should this line be this high with a young true freshman Jeff Sims at QB and with a few replacements from last year on the offensive line?  The same can be said for UCF as their QB Dillon Gabriel plays much better when he is at home. On the road is where he threw some INT’s last year.  This is another team replacing offensive linemen.  It’s early in the season and both defenses have the advantage here.  I am not saying this is going to be a snoozer, but a lot of things have to go just right to make this a shootout.  Keep in mind both teams are breaking in new kickers as well.  Take the Under.

Rotation #125/126
Louisiana Tech/Southern Miss Over 58.5 (win)
Southern Miss has already fired their coach and now will be led by their 30 year old co-offensive coordinator Scotty Walden.  In most cases I would say this is bad, but this team had a lot of energy this week and get the perfect opponent on defense.  The Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech have a new defensive coordinator and only return really 1 starter on that side of the ball that started every game this year.  Southern Miss is going to go up tempo and put points on the board.  Southern Miss also has turnover on defense.  This defensive line is pretty young.  Louisiana Tech has a ton of offensive weapons.  The question is will their QB’s be able to find these weapons?  The secondary for Southern Miss is very young so I do imagine these experienced receiving targets will get open.  Both teams should put up a lot of points.  Take the Over.
