Rotation #313-314
FSU/Louisville Under 62 (loss)
Both teams have talented defenses that can look like top 10 units on any given Saturday.  FSU was great against UNC  for the first half last week and Louisville was great against Notre Dame.   These teams are similar that they have the most athletic guys in the world, but do stupid things to beat themselves.  I do think the defensive talent is much better than the offensive talent each team brings to the table.  Both teams are nursing a few injuries at the skill position as well.  I think the front seven and especially the linebackers are a strong point for both teams.   FSU should be able to keep Cunningham from running all over them and Louisville should keep the inexperienced Jordan Travis in check.  I believe this total is set too high.  Take the Under.

Rotation #312
Boston College -3.5 over Georgia Tech (win)
It’s hard for a team to get blown out like Georgia Tech did last week and then refocus on the road.  Sometimes great teams like Clemson can beat you even the week after they beat you.  Boston College has a very good defense that’s filled with veteran talent.  The Yellow Jackets offense and their true freshman QB must be questioning their confidence after last weeks performance.  Boston College isn’t going to run up the score like Clemson, but they will run the ball and try to control the clock and then rely on their defense to hold on.  Georgia Tech is thin on the defensive line and lacks the talent to control the line of scrimmage.  This is just the kind of game the Eagles like to play in.  Take Boston College.

Rotation #361
South Carolina +4.5 over LSU (loss)
LSU is always a tough place to play especially at night, but with reduced fans the atmosphere is just not what it usually is to intimidate opposing teams.   South Carolina plays a ball control offensive approach and has a veteran well traveled QB under center.  LSU is breaking in a new defense and they have looked worse than any other team in the country.  They just don’t have the talented to win many games this year unless their offense is rolling.  The fact this team is playing a TRUE freshman QB tonight makes the case that the probability of him lighting up the scoreboard is low.  This is what happens in rebuilding years.  LSU had so many NFL level players last year that are all in the NFL now.  South Carolina is well coached and a guy like Shi Smith is a nightmare for opposing secondaries.  I think the Gamecocks are a better team on both sides of the ball.  Take South Carolina.

Rotation #347
Cincinnati +2.5 over SMU (win)
SMU is a great team and Shane Buechele is a future NFL star.   Cincinnati is well coached  and has a great defense.  I think the problem for SMU is simple.  At some point the loss of TJ McDaniel and Reggie Roberson is going to catch up with them.  I believe that time is today.   It’s going to be hard to run the football and the Bearcats Defense at least don’t have to double team someone like Roberson who isn’t in the lineup.  I believe Cincinnati will control the line of scrimmage as they have a huge weight advantage on both fronts.  Cincinnati will run the football and QB Desmond Rider will be too much to handle with his duel threat ability.   Take Cincinnati.
