Picks for 10/10/26

College Football
Texas A&M +3.5 over Missouri (loss)
Texas A&M/Missouri over 50.5 (loss)
Rotation # 381/NOON ET
Texas A&M got back on track last week, thumping Arkansas after back-to-back SEC losses. The margin for error for the Aggies is now zero. Marcel Reed is a dual-threat quarterback, and Rueben Owens can soften up the defense enough for the Aggies to take shots downfield. Missouri has questionable edge players on the defensive line today, both nursing injuries, so the Aggies should have an advantage in the trenches. Missouri is looking to crack the top 10 and make a run in the SEC. The Tigers have a bigger offensive line and should be able to establish the running game with Jamal Roberts. Both teams should have balanced offenses, which should lead to a high-scoring game. The Aggies desperately need a big road victory to regain their confidence. Take Texas A&M. Take the Over. No parlays.

College Football
Virginia Tech/California Over 53.5 (loss)
Rotation #393-394 / 3:30 PM ET
Virginia Tech is off to a 4-1 start and is in the running for an ACC Championship Game appearance if the Hokies can stay on track. Cal may not have the same overall talent, but the Golden Bears match up well today, with a size advantage at receiver and along the offensive line. Jackson Brousseau should be able to find his receivers, especially if the run game can establish behind an experienced offensive line. Cal should have opportunities to move the football today. Tosh Lupoi has shown a willingness to make offensive adjustments and take chances when necessary. The Hokies will attack a Cal defense that lacks experience in certain areas, particularly a secondary that isn’t the most talented. Both teams should find opportunities to move the football and put points on the board. Look for a higher-scoring game. Take the Over.

College Football
Tennessee/Arkansas Under 51.5 (win)
Rotation #399-400 / 4:15 PM ET
Tennessee will turn to backup quarterback George MacIntyre today, playing behind an offensive line that has been shuffled around after Wendell Moe was ruled out for the season. The Vols have played sloppy football at times, and even against inferior opponents, they still can’t avoid costly penalties in key moments. Arkansas has a big offensive line, but the talent isn’t there, and KJ Jackson is a quarterback who is hard to trust right now. Ryan Silverfield faces a tough task: improving a program that went winless in SEC play last year. The situation hasn’t improved much, with several transfers from Memphis and the American Conference following him. Tennessee should eventually take control, but I don’t trust a backup quarterback and a shuffled offensive line to put up a boatload of points on the road. Take the Under.

College Football
Georgia +2.5 over Alabama
Rotation #403 / 7:30 PM ET
It will be a rainy evening in Tuscaloosa for this highly anticipated matchup between two of the best college football programs in recent history. I understand why Alabama is the favorite. The Crimson Tide are playing at home, but I’m not so sure they’re the better team, especially if the weather forces both offenses into a more conservative game plan. One reason we’re going with Georgia is quarterback Gunner Stockton. Stockton has valuable starting experience and has continued to improve as a runner. Nate Frazier should be able to soften up the Alabama front seven enough to keep the defense guessing and open up opportunities for Stockton to find his talented receivers downfield. Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell has limited big-game experience, and it will be interesting to see whether he makes a critical mistake by holding onto the football too long or forcing a throw in wet conditions. Simply put, I trust Stockton much more than the young Russell here. Take Georgia.
