Both starting pitchers have looked good in their last few outings, but it’s hard to trust either one of them and certainly impossible to trust either bullpen. The A’s have lost six straight, including a tough loss last night where they played well until the bullpen ruined things for them in the 8th inning. The A’s have not been hitting the ball well, but have a chance to get their offense back in gear against Rhett Lowder, who will give up his fair share of walks and big hits. Cincinnati hits left-handers well. Look for the Reds to get on the board early and often. No matter the score heading into the final frames, it’s hard to trust either bullpen, especially the A’s, not to allow runs. Look for a high-scoring game. Take the Over.
