Picks for 4/16/26
MLB
8:10 PM EST
Rotation # 967-968
Rockies/Astros Over 8.5 runs (loss)
Mejia/Weiss
The Astros are short-handed with starting pitchers this year and currently have the worst bullpen ERA in the American League. Colorado is not a great offense, but if there is ever a time to score runs, it would be against a struggling Ryan Weiss and Houston relief pitchers that have yet to find their groove. What Houston has going for them is their ability to create extra base hits. The Astros have the best slugging percentage in the American League against right-handers and will look to get out of the gates quickly against Juan Mejia, who has struggled with his control this year. I don’t think the total should be this low based on the two starting pitchers. Look for a higher-scoring game. Take the Over.
