Rotation # 475
Bucs +6 over Lions (loss)
Bucs/Lions Over 53.5 (loss)
As you know, there is no such thing as a sure shot when it comes to sports betting. Successful wagering campaigns come in the offseason with countless hours of depth chart tracking and in-season injury tracking plays a crucial role. Scenarios like tonight come up once in a blue moon. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose. It doesn’t make sense not to play it. The Lions are missing their entire secondary. Kerby Joseph is out with a hamstring injury, Terrion Arnold is out with a shoulder injury, Brian Branch is out with a suspension, DJ Reed is out with a hamstring injury and Avonte Maddux is out with a hamstring injury. Along with these injuries many backups like Ennis Rakestaw, Dan Jackson and Khalil Dorsey are also on IR. Tampa QB Baker Mayfield is a gunslinger and will attack the Lions secondary. I don’t trust the Lions backups to make tackles. Mike Evans will have no problem getting open and if he draws a double team there will be mismatches across the board for other receivers to take advantage of. The Lions coaching staff obviously know they are limited in the secondary so you would think they could just run the ball and win the time of possession, but the Bucs have an outstanding run defense led by Vita Vea. The Lions have no shortage of exceptional receivers and would be comfortable in a shootout scenario. Tonight is a perfect scenario to play both side and total and as I mentioned earlier you live with the results, but I can’t remember the last time a team had so many injuries in the secondary. The Bucs are healthy underdogs that can win the game outright and both teams could light up the scoreboard in perfect indoor conditions. Take the Bucs and the Over, no parlays.
