The Mets have been great against right-handed pitching this season and have been the better of the two offenses since the All-Star break. The Nationals have no advantage offensively playing at home and have struggled against lefties. Both David Peterson of the Mets and Jake Irvin of the Nationals have been shaky as of late, so if this becomes a bullpen game, it favors the Mets, as the Nationals’ bullpen is the worst in the league. The Mets have lost ground in the NL East against the Phillies and must win games against the bottom of their division if they plan on making the postseason. We will play the run line.
