Picks for 10/8/25
MLB
9:08 PM EST
Rotation # 912
Dodgers -1.5 runs over Phillies +125 (loss)
Tamamoto/Nola
Yoshinobu Yamamoto has allowed zero runs in his last three starts with 23 strikeouts. Aaron Nola hasn’t pitched for two weeks and hasn’t looked good this season. I am not a fan of teams playing 162 games and then the divisional series being just five games. At this point in the year, teams should be playing in seven-game series and playing strategic baseball with all their pitchers. The Phillies are in a hole as they lost games 1 and 2 at home and seem outmatched. Los Angeles will be electric tonight, and there isn’t much optimism with NOLA on the mound. The Dodgers hit many more home runs against right-handers, had the best slugging percentage in baseball at home, and had a much better starting pitcher on the mound. Take the Dodgers -1.5 runs +125.
