UCF -2.5 over SMU (win)
Tonight we are treated to a rare Wednesday game. Hurricane Ian postponed the game on Saturday. SMU most likely were in hotel rooms for a few days and not comfortable for this game tonight. SMU has a brand new coaching staff playing in their first conference game of the season. Gus Malzahn has UCF playing defense at a high level, and they looked to improve from their impressive nine-win season a year ago. The Knights return just about everybody on both sides of the ball and are playing well with John Ryhs Plumlee at QB. Plumlee is a duel threat QB that should have a great game against an SMU Defense that is very poor. I don’t think SMU is ready to win a big opening conference game with their inexperienced staff. Take UCF.
