Rotation # 673
Mississippi State +7.5 over LSU (win)
Both teams are limping into tonight’s contest on losing streaks. LSU has lost two in a row, while Mississippi State has lost five straight and has not handled the tough early-season schedule. The Bulldogs get relief against a Tigers team that doesn’t have any business being big favorites, as they are a year removed from finishing 15th in the SEC and haven’t made drastic improvements with a brand-new roster. Josh Hubbard is the best player on the court, and when he gets hot, he can will his team to compete with anybody. The Tigers are not good at defending the three-point line, an area where Hubbard thrives. The Bulldogs have a bit more experience and should, at the very least, stay inside the number tonight. Take Mississippi State.

Rotation # 718
Georgetown -3.5 over DePaul (win)
Chris Holtmann has done a fantastic job making DePaul competitive again. The Blue Demons have been the laughing stock of the BIG East for a few years, but that monkey is off their back. DePaul has been one of the better teams in college basketball at covering the spread and might be a bit overvalued in the public eye, as they have not played a tough schedule. Georgetown had a first-half lead a few weeks back on the road and played a dreadful second-half in a six-point Blue Demons win. I expect the Hoyas to connect on more than just 1 three-point shot and to shoot better than 22% in the last meeting. The Hoyas have a new sense of confidence after being down and out in their last game at Providence and making an epic comeback to win down the stretch. Look for KJ Lewis to put the team on his back again, hustling on both ends of the ball. Take Georgetown.
