Picks for 12/4/24
College Basketball

Rotation # 679
Baylor +3 over UConn (loss)
UConn has been the biggest shock of the early college basketball season as they are in a massive hangover from last year’s title team. The Huskies big men are not playing physical defense. To make matters worse, Alex Karaban is out with a head injury. Baylor is a tremendous offensive team, so I expect this to be a shootout. Both teams have a lot of similarities, but the big difference is Baylor has performed well against great competition, while UConn has played a weak schedule and has lost to every team that isn’t a cupcake. The Huskies have the advantage of playing at home, but it’s hard to get back on track missing a key big man like Karaban. Baylor has a massive experience edge and, in the eyes of the NCAA Tournament Committee, could get significant points for securing a road win in Connecticut. The Bears hit a home run, grabbing Norchad Omier and Jeremy Roach from the transfer portal. Scott Drew will have his team ready to compete for the road upset. Take Baylor.
