Louisiana Tech +6.5 over Georgia Southern (loss)
Georgia Southern does a great job running the ball, but they are not a team that can roar back if they get down early. QB Shai Werts is listed as doubtful as of 11:45am est. I wouldn’t be shocked if somehow that changes because college teams don’t give out the most honest injury reports, but the backup to Werts is also out so they would go with their 3rd string QB Miller Mosley who isn’t as dynamic as a runner Werts is. Louisiana Tech has a decent offense with no shortage of targets that can catch the ball. Skip Holtz is an amazing bowl coach and plays to win each bowl game. Many head coaches use it as a vacation and practice for the upcoming year. If Werts doesn’t play Tech should win this game outright. Take LA Tech.

Rotation #275
Memphis -9 over Florida Atlantic (win)
It’s a little troubling seeing how weak the AAC has been to start the bowl season, but Memphis is the better team here and their veteran defense should lockdown this Owls Offense. There have been many opt outs and injuries to Florida Atlantic on the offensive end that I don’t see them keeping up for 4 quarters. Brady White is a veteran QB that will find his targets. FAU has a decent secondary, but I believe the Memphis Offensive Line will create a good amount of time for White to find his targets. Coverage is as only good as the time the guys up from can give you. When you think Memphis it’s the offense that comes to mind, but it’s actually the defense that should take over this game. Take Memphis.

Rotation #736
DePaul -16.5 over Western Illinois (win)
DePaul has been on the couch wait and watching. This team starts the season late do to covid, but there is zero doubt they are the much more talented team coming from the Big East. Western Illinois is in rebuild mode. This team has a new coach and only one player that was on this team last year. DePaul might not have played yet this year, but this roster has much more camaraderie over the newly formed Western Illinois team. It might take a few minutes to get warmed up, but this team should catch fire and put away a weak opponent. Take DePaul.
