Pitt -3 over Miami (win)
If both teams were healthy the edge would go to Miami, but the Canes will be short handed tonight.  This team is a mash unit with Lykes and McGusty out and a couple of their big men are questionable.  I can’t see Miami being competitive without their two best ball handlers.  Pitt is on the younger side, but have a lot of talent.  Look for Justin Champagnie to continue his hot start to the season.  Take Pitt.

South Florida +8.5 over Cincinnati (win)
Cincinnati was the top team in the AAC last year, but lost a lot of talent.  South Florida gets the services of Alexa Yetna back this year and also has the advantage of having big physical players that can compete with the big men at talented schools like Cincinnati.   Cincinnati added a few transfers in David Dejulius and Rapolas Ivanauskas, but I am not sure they have the overall talent to be the top team in the American Conference this year.  Look for the Bulls to be the team winning on the glass on both the offensive and defensive ends.  Take USF.

Rotation #689
ECU +12 over SMU (loss)
ECU has the talent to beat SMU because they did it last year.  SMU won the second meeting by hitting 15 three pointers.  Tyson Jolly had a big night, but he is out and it’s unclear if he will rejoin the team this season.  ECU returns their entire lineup from last year and have gained ground.  This team Pirates team will not be a bottom feeder this year in the conference.  ECU should stay inside this number.  Take ECU.

Rotation #694
Notre Dame +4 over Duke (loss)
Coach K is a great coach, but so is Mike Brey.  Brey is going to use his size advantage tonight against a Duke team that isn’t as physically gifted with their freshman class as they have been the last few years.  This is a team that is getting worked over by physical teams.  This is just not the year Duke is going to compete in the ACC.  Notre Dame shares the ball well and should win on the glass tonight.  The wrong team is favored.  Take Notre Dame
