UCLA +1.5 over Maryland (win)
Maryland brought in many transfers, including a few good ones from smaller conferences. The jump in competition from a minor program to a large one is night and day. The Terps will win big games this year, but I like head coach Mick Cronin who has coached the same system for many years at UCLA against new Maryland Head Coach Kevin Willard, who will need time to get all his transfer and last year’s players to buy into his system. UCLA is on a roll, winning five straight, while Maryland doubts themselves after losing two in a row. UCLA doesn’t turn the ball over much, and Maryland plays a slower pace style. The Terps will need a perfect offensive night to win. Maryland has played a lot of tough competition in the last few nights, and they are fatigued. Tonight’s game will be a good one, but the Bruins are further along with their program now than the Terps. Take UCLA .
