Bruce Pearl has a remarkable eye for talent. Many players on the roster came from smaller schools where college hoop dreams go to die. Pearl has molded them into an outstanding defensive unit. Every player you will see tonight is a senior, except for freshman Tahaad Pettiford, a great passer. UNC is a fast-paced team that is on the younger side. Fast-tempo teams that don’t value the ball against great defenses can dig themselves into an early hole. Both teams had tremendous comebacks last night. Auburn did it against #5 Iowa State. UNC did it against Dayton. Johni Broome is the leader of the Tigers, as his rebounding and scoring are second to none. The Tigers have a deeper and more experienced bench and should take care of a Tar Heels team exhausted by playing their third game in four days. Take Auburn.
