No team wants to get swept. Last night, the Pacers played great for most of the game, and it took a fantastic closing few minutes from the #1 seed Celtics to put the series on ice. Remember, Minnesota is the #3 seed trying to avoid the sweep from the #5 seed Mavericks. Minnesota led the regular season series, so there is no reason they should be down 3-0. The Timberwolves defense needs to improve in this series, but we know they are one of the better defensive teams in basketball and should be adjusting from game to game. The Mavericks have a fantastic backcourt, but their defense could be their downfall if they don’t hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy. Dallas deserves a trip to the Finals, but their defense isn’t good enough to be sweeping teams. Minnesota must limit Luca Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and Tim Hardaway Jr from the three-point line. Anthony Edwards is a young, marketable star who will be a force in the NBA for the next decade; he must play his best tonight. Take the Timberwolves.
