Rotation # 650
Iowa State -8.5 over BYU (loss)
Kevin Young is doing an excellent job in his first season as a head coach at the college basketball level. BYU is a ranked team and has won six straight. Most teams in the conference, outside of the heavy hitters like Houston and Texas Tech, win their home games and are average on the road. Iowa State, being the home team, has a tremendous advantage. Both teams are tied in the standings and are jockeying for positioning for the BIG 12 tournament and NCAA Tournament seeding. The Cyclones play solid defense and hold a size and experience edge over the Cougars. The Cyclones had their fair share of injuries but seem fully healthy as their season comes down the stretch. BYU was healthy all year but might be without Kanon Catchings, a massive body that will be an elite shot blocker in the next few seasons. Look for a healthy Keshon Gilbert to be the best floor general on the court and to feed players like Joshua Jefferson and Curtis Jones, who should have good shooting nights. The Hilton Coliseum will be electric this evening. Take Iowa State.
