Both teams couldn’t be more opposite. The Mariners will fight for a wild-card spot in the second half of the season while the Nationals will make vacation plans. Seattle is 9-1 in their last ten games. The Nationals are 1-9 in their previous ten games. Why are the National’s favorites? The contest tonight comes down to starting pitching. Neither pitcher tonight is great, but Josiah Gray has a tremendous strike-out ability. Look for Washington to shut down the Mariners in this inner-league game. Take the Nationals.
