Rotation # 652
Vanderbilt -6.5 over Kentucky (win)
Vanderbilt got a much-needed win in their last contest against a struggling Mississippi State team. Kentucky has been on a roll, winning five straight. It will be a challenge for the Wildcats to keep up playing a fast-paced, elite offensive team. Vanderbilt is also outstanding on defense and will try to use its experience as a unit to overwhelm the Wildcats. The Commadores will run at a frantic pace to try to get Wildcats starters into foul trouble. Kentucky is missing a few role players, so Vanderbilt would love to get favorable matchups against the Wildcats’ bench. Vanderbilt can negate the Kentucky size advantage with Tyler Nickel getting hot from behind the three-point line. Look for the Commadores to take care of business on their home floor. Take Vanderbilt.

Rotation # 654
Marquette +1.5 over Creighton (win)
Marquette head coach Shaka Smart is not used to being in the basement of the BIG East as his team is just 2-8 in league play. Luckily for the Golden Eagles, they are at home as they are not a good road team, winless this year. Marquette also gets the luxury of Creighton forward Owen Freeman trending towards missing the game due to a leg injury, and they get to face a banged-up Jasen Green, who is dealing with a shoulder injury. The Blue Jays are already without Jackson McAndrew for the year, so rebounding could be an issue tonight. Marquette has been the worst team in college basketball against the spread and certainly is getting no love from gamblers as the home underdog tonight. It’s a good spot for the Golden Eagles to throw their weight around and win on the boards. Take Marquette.
