Thursday September 19th Betting Recap

Picks for 9/19/24

Rotation # 302
Jets -6 over Patriots (win)

I strongly oppose Thursday Night Games, as players don’t have much time to recover from the previous week. The NFL preaches player safety, but nothing is safe about it. They should do away with them after all the TV Contracts expire. The Patriots will be without the left side of their offensive line as Vederian Lowe and Sidy Sow will miss the game. New England is already without Cole Strange and Chujwuna Okorafor. We are going to see a lot of rookies in the offensive line rotation. Good luck going against the Jets’ front seven. Tonight’s game is a “hot seat” like a game for Jets coach Robert Saleh and his staff. You should be able to beat a rookie coaching staff at home. It’s the most pure litmus test there can be. Patriots coach Jerod Mayo has done a great job, but this is his first short-week game with his new staff. The Jets paid a lot of money upfront to protect Aaron Rodgers, and they should be much more robust in the trenches tonight. Football games are won and lost by the big men on the lines. Take the Jets.

Rotation # 956
Mets -130 over Phillies (win)

Severino/Walker
The Mets are on a tear and looking to secure a wildcard bid. Phillies starter Taijuan Walker has been shaky this season, allowing many runs and not striking out many batters. The Mets have the better starting pitcher on the mound and must keep their streak alive. New York has a series with the Braves coming up, so being up multiple games will help tremendously. Take the Mets.
