Jets -2 over Texans (win)
Tonight’s Thursday Night matchup is between a 6-2 Texans team and a 2-6 Jets team. The difference has been the Texan’s ability to win close games. The Texans are short-handed on offense, with Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs on IR. The Jets are without Allen Lazard tonight, but the addition of Dante Adams helps the offense. Both teams have injuries in the secondary and at linebacker. We might see a lot of busted coverage tonight. The Jets have lost five straight and will be laser-focused at home. Houston will struggle on the road with their best receivers on IR. The Jets’ defensive line was projected to be the best in the NFL, and they need to start playing like it. The return of Haason Reddick will help tremendously. I do like the Jets better in the trenches. Houston would be a dangerous team if they had more talent on both the offensive and defensive lines. It’s tough to win consistently on the road when you can’t dominate in those areas. Take the Jets.
