As the series draws longer, I have concerns for the Knicks, as they have the worst bench in the NBA. If the starters don’t produce or live up to their averages, they will not win. It’s hard to close out a series, especially on the road, when you don’t have reliable extra bodies. The Pistons will look up the pace and get points on the fastbreak or, at the very least, get the Knicks starters into foul trouble. Malik Beasley will look to exploit a poor Knicks three-point defense. Detroit hopes to get Isaiah Stewart’s services back on the court, which will help their defense in the paint. Look for Detroit to hold serve on their home court to force a thrilling game seven at Madison Square Garden. Take the Pistons.

Casey Mize has looked sharp this year, as he is off to a 4-1 start and has an ERA of 2.12. The Tigers will look to exploit Yusei Kikuchi, who is coming off his worst start of the year, lasting just two innings and allowing nine hits. The Angels could be without the services of Mike Trout, as he is dealing with knee soreness that hindered his performance last night. Detroit hits left-handers well and should cash in on the road. Take the Tigers.
