Not many teams in the NBA can lose three of the four quarters and win the game without issues. The Thunder operate at a fast tempo and can put up points quickly to make up for any hole they get into. The Nuggets’ defense is suspect and can have one bad quarter that takes them out of the game, much like in Game Five. Denver shares the ball better than any team in the NBA and is excellent from the foul line. Look for Nikola Jokic to get to the charity stripe often. Both teams are great in the paint area, which leads to easy points. Denver can’t stop Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from scoring at will. Denver can force a game seven, but the total is the safer play. There has been a lot of offense in this series due to one team doing it all. Tonight’s game has the potential for both teams to put up a lot of runs due to the starting pitchers not being great. A’s starter Osvaldo Bido has struggled this year. Dodgers starter Matt Sauer is a bullpen pitcher who will get his first big league start tonight. Neither starter has strikeout power. Both teams have outstanding slugging percentages against right-handed pitchers. The wind will blow out a bit, giving each offense better chances of hitting long balls. Take the Over.
