College Basketball Picks for 3/30/23
College Basketball NIT Final
9:40 PM EST
Rotation #665
UAB -2.5 over North Texas (loss)
I wasn’t going to play the NIT, but we are 2-1, and it would be great to grab another unit heading into the Final Four. Both UAB and North Texas are veteran teams. I can’t remember the last time, or if ever, I saw college basketball teams playing four times in one year. Tonight’s game will determine the winner of the NIT and, in doing so, crown the kings of Conference USA. The Blazers have higher recruited players that played in the SEC, while the Mean Green have few high-rated recruits. North Texas has an elite-level defense that could shut down even top-level programs, but their offense is nonexistent. There is nothing the Blazers don’t know about the Mean Green Defense after already playing them four times. The advantage goes to the better offensive team in this scenario. Look for the Blazers to outlast North Texas, as they have the better shooters and the better bench. Look for the Blazers to win this game by being a beast on the offensive glass. The Blazers will share the ball well and wear out the defense with their pace. Take UAB.
