Picks for 2/5/26
College Basketball

Rotation # 769-770
Penn State/Michigan Under 161.5 (loss)
If you go back a month to the first meeting, Penn State was one missed shot at the buzzer away from upsetting the Wolverines in an embarrassing effort on Michigan’s part. Penn State was without its best player, Kayden Mingo, and still competed. It goes to show you that if your head isn’t in it, any team can upset you on any given night. Look at what Portland did to Gonzaga last night. Michigan should play much better on the glass tonight and not allow Penn State to dominate there as they did in January. I believe we see the real Michigan team tonight, not play bored and as smug as they did at State College, and win handily on their home floor. Dusty May will have his bigs prepared to win on the glass, as the Wolverines should smother a weak offensive team missing many role players. Yaxel Lendeborg, Morez Johnson, and Aday Mara are too big and too talented to be pushed around in the paint. Look for Michigan to win by double digits and to flirt with covering the massive spread. Penn State has heart, and sadly, has been affected by the injury bug all year. The Wolverines should eventually take the air out of the Nittany Lions’ offense, which lacks the talent to compete for 40 minutes. Look for a lower-scoring game. Take the Under.
