Both teams this year have lost to the teams they should have lost to. Air Force has a very good rushing attack, but they are thin at the running back position. This is a team with a new QB and they really don’t have the best offensive line either. The Air Force defense has so much turnover for the unit that was in place last year. This probably is the least experienced defense in the country and they do not deserve to be double digit favorites. Utah State is in a similar spot with a young QB, but they do have a lot of talent at receiver. The Aggies also have a decent amount of talent on this veteran defense that has faced this type of Air Force offense in the past. I think these teams are about even and this point spread is generous tonight. Take Utah State.

Southern Utah +1.5 over Montana (win)
Both games last year went right down to the wire. Montana lost their top 3 players in production last year. Southern Utah lost Cameron Oluvitan to graduation, but the nucleus of this team remains the same. If you look at the last matchup dating back to last year you will find that 4 of the Montana players that started that game are departed and the 5th starter didn’t score a single point. The Thunderbirds of Southern Utah got a few transfers this year as well and look to be in better shape to start the season. Take Southern Utah.
