Sixers +6.5 over Celtics (win)
The Celtics were not good from the three-point line the other night, which helped Philadelphia stay in the game and ultimately led to a late run that secured the victory. The Sixers did a good job of making multiple runs when the game was about to get out of hand, largely thanks to their strong three-point defense. If the Celtics can hit a record 24 three-pointers like they did the last time they played in Philly, they will win big, but the wildcard for the Sixers is having Joel Embiid back in the lineup. Embiid dominated the other night, and if he can stay healthy, he will be tough to slow down, making his presence so valuable for the Sixers. Boston is an outstanding defensive team, but it plays at a slow pace and is not a threat in the paint. The Sixers have the size and experience to win around the rim. If Boston can hit a bunch of lower-percentage three-pointers at a high rate, then so be it. Look for a close finish. Take the Sixers.
