The Packers are in a unique situation with Josh Jacobs out and their inability to close out games. Green Bay is playing another road game, and it will be tough to pull out a win without an adequate running game. The Packers also have issues on their offensive line as they deal with a few injuries while their players adjust to the defensive play-calling. The Jets looked great last week. Sure, it was against the Titans, but Aaron Glenn and his new coordinators should make this team much more competitive this season. Geno Smith is an experienced quarterback with a strong running back group behind him, led by Breece Hall. Offensive coordinator Frank Reich was a good fit and should have his team ready to play. The Jets are a franchise trying to turn the corner and must take advantage of teams that are not operating at full strength, especially in their own building. Take the Jets.

Bengals/Texans Over 45.5 (loss)

This afternoon’s game is the only NFL matchup where the offensive lines and receivers have a greater-than-average size advantage over the opposing front sevens and secondaries. We should see a lot of offense from both teams. The Texans’ defense looked lost last week against the Bills, and Bengals QB Joe Burrow needs to match that pace. Cincinnati has a well-balanced offense, with Chase Brown running the ball and players like Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase posing big threats in the passing game. Both teams must establish the run behind their big offensive lines to wear down the defenses before hitting them with the big play. Texans QB C.J. Stroud fumbled the game away last week but looked pretty good for most of the game. Houston will look to soften up the Cincinnati front seven enough for Stroud to do damage downfield. Look for a high-scoring game. Take the Over.

Eagles -7 over Titans (loss)

The Eagles are down offensive lineman Landon Dickerson, but they still have an extremely experienced offensive line with a massive size advantage over the Titans. We are dealing with two different tiers of teams. Tennessee will take a while to become a respectable organization, and the new Titans coaching staff will need a few weeks to get on the same page. Philadelphia is a superior football team that should be able to run the ball with Saquon Barkley, which will help Jalen Hurts find DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, and tight end Dallas Goedert. This is an early-season game where you let the spread do the work. Philadelphia is superior across the board and should do enough to put the Titans away. Take the Eagles.

This is a two-part play and, as always, should be treated as two straight bets. The 49ers are a veteran team that will look to punish a Dolphins defense with little experience. Mismatches are all across the board, with the 49ers’ receivers facing a Dolphins secondary that lacks brand-name talent, as none of them were full-time starters at any point in their careers. Kyle Shanahan will look to kick off the home schedule with a massive win against a brand-new Dolphins coaching staff that will take weeks to figure things out. Miami has promise in its running game with De’Von Achane behind an offensive line with size. I don’t know if Malik Willis is the full-time answer at quarterback, but he has big receivers to throw the ball to. 49ers QB Brock Purdy will look to Deebo Samuel, Mike Evans, and George Kittle to use their experience to get wide open against this Dolphins defense. The 49ers should have no problem moving the ball and should take advantage of a few Dolphins mistakes. Take the 49ers. Take the Over. No parlays.

Colts/Chiefs Over 46.5 (pending)

The Chiefs looked great last week, with newly acquired Kenneth Walker III doing what he does best. Walker will take pressure off Patrick Mahomes this year, letting him punish defenses that cheat to stop the run. Both teams enter with good size advantages across their offensive lines. The Colts will pound the rock with Jonathan Taylor, giving receivers chances to beat their man one-on-one. Indianapolis already feels like it’s in desperation mode after its season-opening loss to the Ravens. The Colts were a phenomenal team last year before Jones got hurt. I don’t think Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter will be as passive as Denver was last week against Kansas City. Look for both teams to find their offense tonight. Take the Over.
