Picks for 10/29/23

Rotation #257-258
Eagles/Commanders Over 43.5 (win)
Commanders QB Sam Howell is just a rookie, but he played like a veteran in week 4 when Washington almost shocked Philadelphia. The Eagles moved the ball against a good Dolphins defense last week, proving they have too many weapons for just about any team to handle. Both teams have good running backs who can set up the pass. It’s a perfect day for football in Landover, Maryland. Look for a lot of points. Take the Over.

Rotation #260
Cowboys -6.5 over Rams (win)
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has struggled this year as his offensive line could be better, his running game is hurting, and his top receiver Cooper Kupp isn’t into mid-season form due to missing the first few weeks. Defensively, the Rams have a lot of areas for improvement. The Cowboys have an excellent offensive line and plenty of playmakers for Dak Prescott to throw to. Dallas has a good defense that pressures the quarterback well. It’s not a good sign for the aging Matthew Stafford trying to move out of the way. Look for Dallas to win big at home. Take the Cowboys.

Rotation #265
Falcons -1.5 over Titans (loss)
Titans QB Ryan Tannehill has been one of the worst QBs in the league this year and will miss today’s game with an ankle injury. The alternative of Will Levis or Malik Willis isn’t going to do them any better. Tennessee’s offensive line is below average and sets the offense back. Atlanta QB Desmond Ridder is improving week by week, and luckily for him, the Falcons are stacked with offensive talent. Look for Atlanta to focus their attention on Derrick Henry and cash in with a road win. Take the Falcons.

Rotation #275
Ravens -9.5 over Cardinals (loss)
The Ravens played their best game of the season last week when they destroyed the Lions. Baltimore was flawless on both sides of the ball. Cardinals QB Joshua Dobbs has hung tough with the tools he has but will face a Ravens defense that can turn mistakes into points, let alone score them on their own with Lamar Jackson. I expect Baltimore to score at will and believe their defense will put up or set them up to score touchdowns. Arizona needs more quality players to be competitive against one of the best teams in the NFL. Take the Ravens.
