Saints -2.5 over Vikings (loss)

The Saints have yet to tap into their true potential much this season and have a perfect opportunity to get a big road win. Joshua Dobbs is now the new QB of the Vikings and led his team to a 4th quarter win coming off the bench. That was one drive. He has yet to learn the system, and we will see how he does for an entire game. KirkCousins was the Vikings QB for years, so it will take time for Dobbs to get a rhythm with his receivers. The Saints should be able to make plays on defense today. Saints QB Derek Carr has a lot of great receivers he needs to target more consistently. Look for Alvin Kamara to have a big day on the ground and for Carr to hit receivers while the Vikings focus on the run. Take the Saints.

Steelers -3.5 over Packers (win)

The Packers are in for a tough day as QB Jourdan Love will be a deer in headlights against the Steelers’ defense. Green Bay is not at full strength on the offensive line, giving players like TJ Watt lanes to sack the QB. The Packers’ defense is weaker this season regarding the secondary play. Green Bay lacks talent on the back end, allowing Steelers receivers to be wide-open. The Steelers are a physical team playing out of the AFC North. Green Bay can’t match their toughness. Take the Steelers.

Falcons -2.5 over Cardinals (loss)

Kyler Murray is back for the Cardinals today, as is James Connor. Arizona is getting back to full strength on offense but still is missing tight-end Zach Ertz, who will be back in a few weeks. I am not a fan of the Cardinals’ offense line and believe Murray could get hurt again this season. The Falcons switched to Taylor Heinicke at QB, which might not be the best long-term option but is the best decision for 2023. Atlanta is loaded with offensive talent and needs a guy to throw the ball to them. That guy was not Desmond Ridder, so the Hawks made a switch. Look for Atlanta to take advantage of rust early in this game. Arizona has a new coaching staff trying to figure things out. Success for the Cardinals shouldn’t happen overnight because Kyler Murray is back. Atlanta has an underrated offensive line that should protect the QB and open running lanes. Take the Falcons.

Lions/Chargers Over 48.5 (win)

It’s a perfect day for football in Inglewood, CA. The Lions are trying to fix their road trouble after last getting demolished by the Ravens the previous time they were away from home. Detroit has a balanced offensive attack and should move the ball well in perfect conditions. QB Jared Goff should have a big day. The Chargers QB Justin Herbert has a big arm and will take a lot of deep shots today. Austin Eckler is a strong running back who can carry a few defenders for more yardage. Today’s game will be one of the more entertaining ones of the day. Both teams will play inside their system, and the result will give us the points needed to cash the total. Take the Over.
