Vikings -7 over Jaguars (loss)

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence has a bad shoulder and might have to go on injured reserve for the rest of the year. Mac Jones should get the start today. I don’t think Jones can put up enough offense to compete. The Jaguars’ defense has struggled, so Sam Darnold should have a productive day. Minnesota is a well-balanced offensive attack. Aaron Jones softens up defenders enough for Darnold to find any of his outstanding targets. Today’s game is a case of one team being lightyears more talented than the other. Minnesota is in a division battle for first place. The Jaguars are booking their vacations for the offseason. Take the Vikings.

Falcons/Saints Under 46.5 (win)

The Saints have been the hardest hit by the injury bug. New Orleans’s offensive line is unrecognizable, and they are down pivotal players at the skill positions and in the return game. It is tough to be consistent at the highest level when most top producers are on the sidelines. The Saints are sure of themselves defensively enough to part ways with Marshon Lattimore. Atlanta is an improved team, but it will be challenging for them to be efficient on offense in the Superdome. I don’t see this game going back and forth enough to get to the posted total. Take the Under.

Titans/Chargers Over 39 (win)

Titans Quarterback Will Levis is back in the lineup for the Titans today and will find favorable matchups against a depleted Chargers secondary. Kristian Fulton is doubtful, and Asante Samuel and Deane Leonard are on IR. Levis needs to get the ball to Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd. Tony Pollard is an efficient running back who can also catch the ball. Chargers linebacker Khalil Mack is questionable in playing, giving Will Levis peace of mind. The Titans have the same issues in the secondary as L’Jarius Sneed is out, and Quandre Diggs and Chidobe Awuzie are on IR. Tennessee parted ways with Jamal Adams and lacks talent in the backend of their defense. Justin Herbert should have a big day passing at home in picture-perfect weather. Take the Over.

Texans +3.5 over Lions (win)

The Lions are the best team in the NFC but face a few challenges on the road today. Last week, Detroit took care of Green Bay, but the final score did not indicate how that game went. The Packers dominated the game and made a mistake after mistake. The Lions can’t count on that being the case tonight. As Aidan Hutchinson and Marcus Davenport are on IR, Detroit lacks a pass rusher. Newly acquired Za’darius Smith will not play, so the Lions will have difficulty getting to CJ Stroud. The Texans will work the edges with their running game. Joe Mixon is having a fantastic year, and Houston has a lot of talent in its receiving room. Detroit will be without Taylor Decker tonight on the offensive line. Look for Houston to attack Goff and to throw his timing off. It will be an electric crowd at NRG Stadium. Take the Texans.
