Both teams can shoot and play defense and are as good as it gets at rebounding the ball. We should see a down-to-the-wire photo finish. I give the Vols the edge, as they are better at protecting the ball and creating turnovers. Every possession matters in March. The Vols are also a good team on the fast break, but that’s not a specialty for Purdue. The Boilermakers had an easier road to the elite eight, playing three teams from smaller conferences. Tennessee’s Rick Barnes is an outstanding coach deserving to cut down the nets. Both teams are familiar with each other as they played in November, but that was a blue moon ago in the basketball world. If the Vols can limit Zach Edey to an average day, they should be able to win. Dalton Knecht is a superstar who can put his team on his back. Take Tennessee.
