Rotation # 817-818
Miami/Purdue Over 147.5 (win)
On paper, Purdue is the better basketball team and has turned it on at the right time after looking lost down the stretch. The Boilermakers are well-coached and led by veteran senior guards Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer. Trey Kaufman-Renn and Oscar Cluff are also veteran big men looking to extend their careers for another game. The Boilermakers play at a slower pace, but they are the most efficient offense in the country. 37-year-old Jai Lucas has done a splendid job in his first season as coach with a group of all transfers. The Canes can use the size of forward Malik Reneau. Shelton Henderson and Tre Donaldson are playing well and will look to get their offense going against a Purdue team that is playing better on defense, but still has its moments of looking lost. Look for a high-scoring game. Take the Over.

Rotation # 812
Florida -10.5 over Iowa
Ben McCollum did a great job in his first year in Iowa City, especially since the bulk of the roster came with him from Drake. The Hawkeyes are a bunch of mid-major transfers who held their own in the BIG 10 but are nowhere near the level of the defending champ Gators. I don’t know if Iowa can play at the same pace as Florida, and I doubt they can dictate the tempo. All of the Gators starters contributed in their blowout tune-up win the other night. The Gators are too big and strong to be dominated on the boards. Look for Thomas Haugh, Rueben Chinyelu, and Alex Condon to have big games in the paint. Take Florida.
