Arkansas vs Texas Tech

College Basketball

Rotation #806
Arkansas +2 over Texas Tech (win)
Both of these schools did great in the transfer game. Everybody is new on this Arkansas team beside Desi Sills.  I think the Razorbacks have a little bit more firepower.  Texas Tech is a great defensive team, but they do lack rebounding talent.  Arkansas has the size and talent to grab offensive rebounds which lead to second chance points.  The key to winning in the tournament is making three pointers, not turning the ball over, sharing the ball well and getting rebounds.  The Razorbacks are above average in all of that.  I just don’t see Tech keeping up on the offensive end.  Take Arkansas.

Rotation #815
Rutgers +7.5 over Houston  (win)
Houston is a great team that is certainly capable of winning the entire tournament, but I am not so sure a team from the American Conference should be huge favorites like this.  Rutgers has the size advantage and they protect the basketball. Guys like Geo Baker and Ron Harper are going to be tough to knock out of this tournament.  Houston is going to have to hit big from the three point line to win this game by double digits and honestly the courts and the rims in this tournament are giving offensive players fits.  I think the underdogs have a lot of value in this first weekend on the tournament.  Take Rutgers.

Rotation #811
Oregon State +6.5 over Oklahoma State (win)
Oklahoma State has been fun to watch this year, but they are young and they turn the ball over a lot.  That is not a good combo for this time of year.  This Cowboys team might have more talent, but Oregon State is shooting the ball really well, has the size and experience edge and can lock in on defense.  Cade Cunningham might be the best player on the court, but this Beavers team and their veteran leadership should keep this game very close.  This game to me comes down to valuing the basketball.  Oklahoma State is too sloppy at times and I think the underdog has great value.  Take Oregon State.
