The status of Joel Embiid is still in the air, but with a tear in his knee I am going to guess the Sixers don’t risk him early on in this series. Philly is a great home team, but having 30 points and 10 rebounds per game missing is not the ideal situation. Atlanta has the offensive talent to steal game one. Philly just played a Wizards team that plays no defense at all and the Hawks just played a Knicks team that really struggled to score. This should be an interesting series. Look for a big Trae Young game one performance today. Take Atlanta.

Astros/Blue Jays Over 9.5 runs (loss)

The ballpark the Blue Jays are playing in produces a lot of runs. The Astros have an excellent batting average on the road and against left handed pitching. This is also a Houston bulpen that gets knocked around so we know the Blue Jays should probably be good for some late runs as well. Look for a high scoring game. Take the Over.
