Rotation #128

Bucs -6.5 over Raiders (win)

The Bucs are in a tight divisional race in the NFC South. It’s division or bust for either them or the Falcons. Las Vegas is thinking about the offseason and draft positioning. The Raiders running back room is nursing key injuries, and on the defensive side, they need more secondary talent to compete. Bucs QB Baker Mayfield loves throwing downfield and should have many targets open today for chunk plays. Tampa can’t afford a slip-up at home against an “easy” opponent, knowing their divisional rival Falcons will be in a tough battle on the road in Minnesota. Tampa is better in all phases of this game. Take the Bucs.

Rotation #137-138

Bills/Rams Over 49.5 (win)

Buffalo looked loose last week in the snow against the 49ers. Wire-to-wire blowouts do numbers for teams’ confidence the next week of practice. The Bills are a well-balanced machine that starts with QB Josh Allen. The offensive line does a great job opening up running lanes and pass-protecting. Josh Allen is a wildcard who can move the chains with his feet. Los Angeles could have a better defense, so the Bills should be able to move the ball well. The Rams can’t afford another loss as they are currently on the outside looking out of the playoff window. The Rams have fantastic receivers that spread the field and will be a nightmare for the Bills secondary in perfect conditions. Last week, the Bills defense didn’t have to worry much about the pass with the weather conditions, but this afternoon, Puka Nacua, Cooper Cupp, and Tutu Atwell will keep Los Angeles in the game. Look for a back-and-forth, high-scoring affair. Take the Over.

Rotation #139

Bears +3 over 49ers (loss)

The 49ers are in uncharted territory, as they are not used to being a non-playoff team at this point in the year. Remember, this is the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year. Being motivated to compete will be a real challenge for the rest of the year. The 49ers are without so many running backs that they just signed a few off the street. The offensive line could be better as well. Chicago is always a non-playoff team, and their young staff will continue to develop their young rookie quarterback, Caleb Williams. The oddsmakers made the 49ers a slight favorite because they are unsure how competitive they can be. Look for Chicago to play spoilers today and to take advantage of a vulnerable team. Take the Bears.

Rotation #142

Chiefs -4 over Chargers (loss)

Chiefs/Chargers Over 43 (loss)

It’s been a while since the Chiefs have started hot and coasted to a big win. Isaiah Pacheco’s return to the lineup is huge for Kansas City. The Chiefs can lean more on their running game, so Patrick Mahomes can be unpredictable and take advantage of mismatches. The Chargers will miss JK Dobbins and rely more on the arm of Justin Herbert, who doesn’t get the credit he deserves with Mahomes receiving all the attention in the AFC West. Herbert will look to pick apart a Kansas City defense that has lost their way against terrible football teams. Kansas City won the prior meeting earlier in the year on the road and will look to win at home. The Chargers have struggled against the run the last few weeks, while the Chiefs have struggled against the pass. Look for both teams to exploit each other’s weaknesses and for this to be a high-scoring contest. Kansas City is trying to hold off the Bills for the top team in the AFC. Kansas City is well-rested and should get all the love from the refs, and Cris Collinsworth is foaming at the mouth to point out how great Mahomes is. Take the Chiefs and the Over.
