NFL Picks for 12/11/22

NFL

Rotation #106
Lions -1.5 over Vikings (win)
Lions/Vikings Over 51.5 (win)
Why in the world are the Lions favored over one of the best teams in football? Minnesota has a lot of guys in the lineup hit by a mysterious illness this week and won’t be 100%. The Vikings’ defense has been atrocious the last few weeks and can’t stop anything in the air. Jared Goff will find his receivers today and put points on the board. The Lions’ defense has been weak all season, so Minnesota should light up the scoreboard today. Look for a high-scoring game with Detroit winning at home. Take the Lions and the Over.

Rotation #111
Eagles -7 over Giants (win)
The Giants are the best team in the NFL regarding covering the spread at 9-3 against the spread. The Giants might be without Saquon Barkey today, and their first-year coaching staff is not ready to knock off the most dangerous team in the NFL. The Eagles don’t have many flaws. Jalen Hurts been outstanding with his decision-making, and the Philadelphia Defense has been excellent. Look for the Eagles to slow down Daniel Jones running the ball and dominate the game. Take the Eagles.

Rotation #111
Panthers +3.5 over Seahawks (win)
This afternoon’s game will be slow-paced, with both teams running the ball. The Panthers should have no problem running the ball against one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL. Kenneth Walker is hurt, and Seattle doesn’t have much depth at running back. The Seahawks have too many injuries on the offensive side to run at full speed today. Look for Geno Smith to struggle, as he doesn’t have his best options on the field. Look for the Panthers to be patient and Sam Darnold to find his targets in a boring slugfest game. Take the Panthers.

Rotation #119-120
Dolphins/Chargers over  53.5  (loss)
The Chargers offense is different, with Mike Williams and Keenan Allen on the field together. LA has struggled this year with many injuries, but they are back to 100% with their skilled players today. Justin Herbert is a great quarterback when he has a full complement of targets. Miami has a great offense, with Tua being able to find a lot of open receivers. Miami has track-star speed and should take advantage of a banged-up Chargers defense. The Chargers play fast, and Miami can do the same on the road. Look for a ton of points. Take the Over.
