Boston College lost their top QB for the year, but their backup Dennis Grosel has experience and this team can run the football behind an offensive line that returns every single starter from last year. This Missouri Defense has been a work in progress behind their new defensive coordinator and it won’t get easier today on the road against a physical Eagles team. Look for the Eagles to control the clock and keep the ball out of the hands of the Missouri offense. Take Boston College.

Texas Tech +9 over Texas (loss)
Texas has a brand new coaching staff and a new QB so I just don’t think they should be big favorites like this in a conference game. Texas Tech has an experienced offensive line and a signal caller at QB that has a lot of experience under his belt. The Longhorns lost 4 of their top 5 tacklers from last year so the Red Raiders should be able to move the football and keep this game close. Take Texas Tech.

Rutgers +20.5 over Michigan (win)
Michigan has looked good the first few weeks of the season, but their schedule hasn’t really been that tough. This is a team that lost a lot of offensive talent and will be facing a Rutgers team that changed their identity with Greg Schiano taking back over at head coach. The Scarlet Knights have experience on defense and on offense have play makers and an experienced offensive line to keep this contest close. I think 20 points is way too high. Take Rutgers.

UCLA -4 over Stanford (win)
Stanford is going to struggle this year because they don’t have the best quarterback play and they don’t have many offensive weapons. Austin Jones is out for them so their running game takes a hit behind this new offensive line. UCLA has a lot of talent and an electric duel threat QB in Dorian Thompson-Robinson. This Bruins defense is much improved and this game comes down to the athletes on the UCLA side being bigger, faster and stronger. The Bruins should win this game unless they gift Stanford with multiple turnovers. Take UCLA.

Indiana -9 over Western Kentucky (loss)
Western Kentucky lost a lot of talent from last year and brought in a bunch of transfers from Houston Baptist. Bailey Zappe was the leading touchdown passer in FCS last year, but again we are talking FCS football. This team doesn’t have that many weapons at the skill position. On the defensive side this Hilltoppers team lost a lot of players and are in the process of working in transfer players. Indiana already hit an early season bump in the road getting destroyed at Iowa. This is a team that has a lot of skill players and QB Michael Penix will find them. The Hoosiers Defense returns 9 of their top 10 tacklers from a season ago and should be able to handle what is thrown at them today. Take Indiana.
