Rotation # 335
Clemson -14.5 over UNC (win)
Clemson has lost two straight and clearly is not an elite-level program like it has been under Dabo Swinney in the past. UNC is a bad football team and almost a gimmick product of football under coach Bill Belichick. From a talent aspect, the Tigers are the superior team. Clemson had two weeks to prepare for this contest and desperately needs a signature blowout win. Clemson doesn’t have the run game it once had, but it should make up for it today on the defensive side of the ball by forcing multiple turnovers against a poor UNC offense that is not on par with ACC quality talent. Take Clemson.

Rotation # 339-340
Pitt/Boston College Under 56.5 (win)
Pitt quarterback Eli Holstein has struggled this season, much of it because he doesn’t have an adequate running game. Star running back Desmond Reid will miss another game. Eli Holstein will have a tough time throwing against a good Eagles secondary. Boston College will look to run the football and control the clock. The Panthers have enough talent on the front seven to keep the Eagles from busting too many significant gains. Today’s total is more suitable for last year’s teams. Look for a lower-scoring game. Take the Under.

Rotation # 330
Louisville -6.5 over Virginia (loss)
Virginia secured a big Friday night home overtime victory over Florida State last week to crack the top 25. Louisville is looking to get a big win in the committee’s eyes. The Cardinals have multiple running backs that can create significant gains and plenty of good receivers. QB Miller Moss has the arm to make big plays. My primary concern for the Cavs is their injuries on the offensive line. Virginia is missing multiple opening day starters. It’s one thing to win at home on a short week, but another to go on the road short-handed after winning a game the week prior in dramatic fashion. Take Louisville.

Rotation # 365
Duke -3 over CAL (win)
Duke secured an impressive road victory last week against Syracuse and is looking to head to the West Coast to do the same against CAL. The Golden Bears brought in new coordinators on both sides of the football team, with many new faces across the board, and they are still trying to find a true identity. Duke will try to exploit a CAL secondary that lost a lot of talent from last year, consisting of many new starters who played in smaller conferences the previous year. Duke QB Darian Mensah has a big arm and should have a big game as long as he protects the football. Blue Devils Head Coach Manny Diaz and his staff are much more prepared in their second year together and should come out with a road victory. Take Duke.
