Rotation # 145
SMU -3 over Wake Forest (loss)
SMU wants to stay flawless in the ACC and move up in the standings. The Mustangs have won three straight and will not overlook an improving Wake Forest team. The key to this game is the Mustangs’ ability to throw to a host of good receivers, while Wake Forest, on the other hand, doesn’t have many options and is down a handful of offensive linemen this year. I like SMU in the trenches a bit more. Both teams have good running backs and decent signal callers, but the big-play ability favors the Mustangs. Look for Kevin Jennings to find his receivers throughout the game. Take SMU.

Rotation # 161
Auburn +2.5 over Arkansas (win)
It’s no secret that Auburn has struggled on the offensive side of the ball. Arkansas, on the other hand, has looked great with its offense. However, it’s early on a Saturday morning, and they must face a physical, true NFL-quality defensive team. Auburn has two good running backs, Jeremiah Cobb and Damari Alston, and their offensive line has the size and experience to open up holes. Both teams have struggled in SEC play the last few years, and the losing coach could be in a hotter seat. The Tigers will be more physical at the point of attack and win the game in the trenches. Take Auburn.

Rotation #183
Missouri +3 over Vanderbilt (loss)
Vanderbilt is coming off a monster win over LSU last week. QB Diego Pavia has single-handedly turned this program around from the laughing stock of the SEC to the talk of the town in Nashville. Missouri has flown under the radar in the SEC and doesn’t believe it gets the respect it deserves. The Tigers might have the best running back room in the country as they have so many great options, and senior QB Beau Pribula can find targets downfield. The Tigers’ secondary consists of many upperclassmen who can make big plays. The winner of today’s game takes a massive step into challenging the powerhouses in the conference as we head down the stretch in SEC play. Take Missouri.

Rotation # 142
Pitt -6 over NC State (win)
Pitt/NC State Over 53.5 (win)
Pitt QB Eli Holstein looked like a deer in the headlights for the first few games until Pat Narduzzi switched to freshman Mason Heintschel, who has given the offense the spark it needed. Running back Desmond Reid is getting healthier and will have a bigger workload this week. Pitt needs to take advantage of a Wolfpack team missing their starting middle linebacker and a few starters in the secondary. NC State has a great running back in Hollywood Smothers, who can break open a big run at any point in the game. The Wolfpack will look to work with the Pitt linebackers, who also deal with injury. Look for a high-scoring game with the Panthers pulling away late. Take Pitt and the Over. No parlays.

Rotation # 185/186
BYU/Iowa State Over 48.5 (win)
BYU freshman QB Bear Bachmeier is a dual-threat that will be a force in the BIG 12 over the next few years as he matures. LT Martin is good for around 100 yards a game, and the Cougars have a quality receiver room led by Chase Roberts. The Cougars’ offensive line will look to attack the Iowa State defensive line, missing their most experienced starter. The Cougars should spread the field enough to be unpredictable. Cyclones QB Rocco Becht is a veteran playmaker who can stand in the pocket and deliver down the field. He will look to attack a BYU secondary that is missing a few starters. The Cyclones have a massive offensive line that can keep the QB upright and open lanes for Carson Hansen and Abu Sama. Look for both teams to score enough to make this a high-scoring contest. Take the Over.
