Ole Miss -7.5 over Arkansas (win)
Arkansas has already eclipsed its record from last year but will have a tough time today without the services of its top running back, Ja’Quinden Jackson. The Razorbacks are not known for being explosive on offense and will have a tough time today matching Lane Kiffin’s Rebels team offensive production. Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart has so many weapons at his disposal, and the running game has the luxury of having a massive offensive line in front of them. Arkansas can only play defense so long against a Rebels team that can score anywhere on the field. If Ole Miss can cut down on unnecessary penalties, they would be able to compete with anyone in the nation. Take Ole Miss.

Florida/Georgia Over 52.5 (win)
The Florida-Georgia matchup from Jacksonville is a game everyone looks forward to each season. Florida QB DJ Lagway found his way two weeks ago against Kentucky and finally feels comfortable running an offense. The Gators will look to come out slugging in the first half. Georgia is without Smael Mondon at linebacker and is down two players in the secondary for the first half due to targeting penalties in their last game. The Gators are not 100 percent healthy at running back, so I expect a lot of passing early. Georgia QB Carson Beck will look to attack a Gators secondary that is thin at cornerback. Both teams had two weeks to prepare for this game, so it should be relatively mistake-free. Florida should hang around longer than Georgia would like. Look for a lot of offense. Take the Over.

Oklahoma State +4 over Arizona State (loss)
We will give Mike Gundy one more chance, as his 0-5 Cowboys are running out of chances to win a conference matchup. Today’s game will be a battle of young vs old coaches. Mike Gundy started his coaching career the year Arizona State head coach Kenny Dillingham was born. Arizona State has a distinct home-field advantage playing in the desert heat, but they have looked vulnerable on the road. Cowboys QB Alan Bowman lost his job but got it back due to injury. Bowman has started too many games to be playing so poorly. Sam Leavitt returns from injury and will start at QB for the Sun Devils. Arizona State will get their yards on the ground behind Cam Skattebo. The Cowboys must hunker down in the red zone. As bad as Oklahoma State has played, they are still nice-sized home dogs and should be able to take deep shots against a suspect secondary. Take Oklahoma State.

Rotation # 377
USC -2 over Washington
It’s been a challenging transition year for the Huskies after a near-flawless campaign last season. The Huskies lost too much talent to the NFL and needed more talent at the offensive line to be explosive. USC is a better offensive team, and D’Anton Lynn has done an excellent job improving the defense from their atrocious performance a season ago. Both teams are adjusting to life in the BIG 10, but the difference in this game is the Trojans’ balanced attack being able to score from anywhere on the field. Washington has a new staff this season, and it will take them an entire offseason to grow as a program. The Trojans will be a legitimate force once they learn how to avoid blowing games. Take USC.

SMU -7 over Pitt
Tonight’s game is between two teams that have shocked the world of college football. Pat Narduzzi and Rhett Lashlee are outstanding coaches. Pitt has done an exceptional job winning with unknown talent and a less experienced offensive line. Offensive coordinator Kade Bell has done a fine job. SMU will have Kevin Jennings under center tonight after an injury scare. SMU has a lot of talent all over the field. I’m not too fond of the Panther’s offensive line on the road, especially with Branson Taylor out for the season. Pitt QB Eli Holstein will have a tough time against a stacked SMU defense. The Mustangs have beef on their front seven to slow down the explosive 175-pound Desmond Reid. The Mustangs are happy to be back home after a month on the road. Gerald Ford Stadium shock will be rocking tonight. The Mustangs are a more talented team and should win by double-digits. Take SMU.
