Rotation # 396
Arizona State -11.5 over West Virginia (loss)
Both teams can play at a frantic pace. QB Scotty Fox has taken over nicely after injury to both West Virginia QBs ahead of him on the depth chart, but the Mountaineers will have a tough time on the road against a good defensive team. West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez is the right man for the job to turn the program around. Still, he doesn’t have the talent yet, especially with so many key players he thought he would have entering the season now sidelined with injuries. The Sun Devils should win this contest in the trenches. QB Jeff Sims will look to attack the West Virginia secondary, and Raleek Brown will look to run wild behind his offensive line. Arizona State will look to bounce back from the dud performance they put on the last time they were at home. Over the course of 60 minutes, the Sun Devils should eventually pull away. Take Arizona State.

Rotation # 345-346
Miami/NC State Over 55.5 (loss)
Miami hasn’t looked quite right over the last few weeks, especially since they know the playoffs are out of reach. The Canes beat a bad Syracuse team last week, but the offense wasn’t clicking until the second half. QB Carson Beck should be able to take advantage of a Wolfpack defense that has looked lost this season. I expect Miami to pass the ball more with Mark Fletcher still out of the lineup at running back. The NC State offense will look to attack a Hurricanes secondary missing O.J. Frederique and Keionte Scott. The Wolfpack should be able to find one-on-one advantages when they spread the field. Look for both teams to do enough to make it a high-scoring game. Take the Over.

Rotation # 370
Baylor +9.5 over Utah (loss)
Utah QB Devon Dampier made an immediate impact in week one of the college football season against UCLA, but this is a team that plays much better on their home field. They should not be big favorites on the road against a Baylor team fighting to get bowl-eligible. Baylor will look to control the clock with running back Bryson Washington, as keeping Dampier and the Utes’ running game off the field is crucial. Baylor can also throw the football, as they have an outstanding receiver room. The Bears should keep this contest close at home. It’s not Utah’s fault, as their road schedule hasn’t shown much, having lost to a good BYU team and beaten a few weaker football teams, but the spread might be a tick too high. Take Baylor.

FSU -13.5 over Virginia Tech (win)
FSU/Virginia Tech Over 55.5 (loss)
It’s the last home game of the year for Florida State. The Seminoles have won a few games at home in dominating fashion and will look to do so against a Virginia Tech team with an interim coach and a lack of identity. FSU QB Tommy Castellanos is a dual-threat. Florida State has great, skilled players and a veteran offensive line with size that can protect the quarterback and open up throwing lanes. Virginia Tech is predictable as they like to run the ball. QB Kyron Drones is electric when he gets on the move, but for the Hokies to have any chance, they must throw the ball. Virginia Tech can stay in the fight early with the run, but I don’t trust them to throw the ball if they get down and try to make a comeback, as it would likely lead to more turnovers and favorable field position for FSU to capitalize on. Look for the Seminoles to pull away eventually, as they are the more balanced team. Take Florida State and the Over. No Parlays.
