Thunder -2.5 over Timberwolves (loss)
The oddsmakers have made sharp lines in this series. It’s next to impossible to find an edge when teams play each other every night without significant injuries to factor into handicapping a game. The Thunder are a better team all over the court and play outstanding defense. Oklahoma City is by far the best team left in the playoffs and should win the title, barring any serious injury. Minnesota is outclassed in this matchup, and I don’t think home court can make a difference. Look for the Timberwolves to realize they can’t compete and to fold when reality sinks in. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is having a season that will go down in the history books, and the defense of Luguentz Dort and Jalen Williams is too tough to crack. The only way Minnesota can get back in this series is to try to slow down the pace of the Thunder, which is impossible with all their weapons. Take the Thunder.

The Rangers have lost five games in a row and have done nothing offensively on their current road series. Texas does not get any relief today as starter Jack Leiter hasn’t been anything to write home about, and his walks have been a concern. We will take it if the oddsmakers give us an extra run at even money. Jonathan Cannon has pitched well for the White Sox and will look to add to their momentum. The Rangers are tough to beat when they have their best pitchers on the mound, but this is not the case today. Take the White Sox +1.5 -110.
