Clippers -5.5 over Mavericks (loss)
The Clippers eliminated the Mavs last year and the question asked is did the Mavs go out and acquire enough talent in the off-season to get over the hump. I believe the answer is no as all they brought in was Josh Richardson from the Sixers. This is a young team going against a veteran team with a really deep veteran bench. I do not think Dallas has done enough to get out of the first round this year. Take the Clippers.

The Nuggets are the better basketball team when healthy, but they are far from healthy. Jamal Murray was a big loss and now with Will Barton hurt and PJ Dozier hurt you have to ask who are the guards that are going to lead this team to wins? Portland has a few key players that can take over games. This Trailblazers team has to steal game one with the Nuggets current injuries. Take the Blazers.

Alzolay/Mikolas
Miles Mikolas makes his return after missing last season. At even money it’s not really a hard decision to go against a pitcher that has not pitched for a year and a half. Adbert Alzolay is a good young pitcher that always has his team in a position to win the game with their offense. Chicago got themselves a big win last night and I look for their bats to carry over that success into today’s games. Mikolas will more than likely show early rust. Take the Cubs.
