Picks for 5/16/26
MLB
7:15 PM EST
Rotation # 971
Yankees -135 over Mets (NO ACTION. Peterson scratched for Brazoban)
Rodon/Peterson
The Yankees were happy to get Carlos Rodon back after missing the start of the year on the injured list with bone spurs. Rodon looked good in his debut as he didn’t allow many hard-hit balls. Once he regains control, he should limit the number of walks he issues. The good news for Rodon is that he faces a Mets team that hits left-handed pitching poorly. The Yankees have the best slugging percentage in baseball against lefties and should get out to another decent-sized lead before the bullpen does their part. It will be hard for the Mets to generate offense if they continue to show they can’t get on base against lefties. Take the Yankees.
