Picks for 3/14/26
College Basketball
3:30 PM EST
Rotation # 611
Purdue -7.5 over UCLA (loss)
Purdue played disinterested basketball down the stretch of the regular season, but, like a light switch, its senior leadership has turned it up on the defensive end here in the BIG 10 Tournament. UCLA took a big hit with Tyler Bilodeau going down yesterday. Bilodeau is their top scorer and great on the boards. The Bruins will miss his three-point ability. Purdue’s defense should play a lot better than it did at Pauley Pavilion back in January. Oscar Cluff and Trey Kaufman-Renn should use their size advantage in the paint area. The Boilermakers are a veteran team that has turned it on this tournament and won’t be an easy out. The Boilermakers should be able to defend Donovan Dent much better than they did in the previous head-to-head matchup. Braden Smith is the best player on the court and should lead the Boilermakers to the Title Game. Take Purdue.
