The Cubs enter the afternoon with the superior pitcher on the mound. Lefty Matthew Boyd has been impressive this year as he sports an ERA under three runs per game. The Pirates have the lowest slugging percentage in the National League against left-handed pitchers and should struggle. Chicago has been rock solid against right-handed pitchers this season and will look to exploit the inexperienced Mike Burrows. Burrow doesn’t have the best control and will walk a lot of guys, giving the Cubs the chance for big innings. The money line is too high. We will take the run line. Take the Cubs -1.5 runs -110.
